Why do we use cedar to create our hot tub cabinets?

Cedar is one of nature's most durable woods. Cedar wood is straight grained, lightweight and evenly textured which means it is far less likely to warp when exposed to wet conditions. Cedar also contains a natural preservative called thujaplicin which is disliked by wood eating insects and beetles. Thujaplicin also prevents funghi growth and is responsible for the pleasant and distinctive aroma associated with cedar wood. Because of its low density, cedar also makes an ideal insulator which helps keep the costs of heating your Trueform spa to an absolute minimum. All of our discount hot tubs come fitted with a beautiful cedar cabinet that is complete with access panels for servicing.
